NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has expanded its R series of smartphones. The company has launched R11s and R11s Plus at an event in China. The Oppo R11s comes with Black, Champagne Gold and Red colour options and it is priced at 2999 yuan. There's also a special edition of the smartphone comes with a price tag of 3199 yuan. On the other hand the R11s Plus comes in Black and Champagne Gold colour variants and is 3699 yuan.
The Oppo R11s and R11s Plus run Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and are powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU. The duo sports a dual rear camera setup. Both the smartphones come with 16MP+20MP rear camera setup. The primary camera comes with dual-tone LED Flash and f/1.7 aperture. There's also a 20MP front facing camera for selfies.
The 20MP front facing cmaeta comes with AI beauty recognition technology which collects 254 feature points that help in capturing the perfect selfie. The company claims that the front camera scans 128 facial recognition points and can also be used to unlock the smartphone.
Both the smartphones also come with VOOC flash charge support which will offer 2 hours of battery backup with just 5 minutes of charging.
The Oppo R11s comes with a 6.1-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080x2160 pixel resolution. The device comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 265GB. Measuring 155.1 x 75.5 x 7.1mm, the device comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor and houses a 3,205 mAh battery.
On the other hand, the oppo R11s Plus features a 6.43-inch screen with 1080x2160 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage and the users can also add a microSD card of up to 256GB. Weighing 128 grams, the smartphone comes with a pill shaped fingerprint sensor placed on the front panel. The smartphone is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE,3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C as connectivity options
